Professionally, Leo Shalit concentrates on Personal Injury and White-Collar Criminal Defense matters. Whether representing an injured party, a business entity, or an individual accused of a serious crime, Leo always strives to attain the best result for his clients.
He has obtained substantial compensation packages for his Personal Injury clients, both through jury trials and out-of-court settlements.
In the White-Collar Criminal Defense arena, Leo defends individuals and corporations serious felony charges and government investigations at the State and Federal levels.
In his spare time, Leo is a faculty member of the Marino Continued Legal Education organization where he teaches a course titled “Auto Litigation and The No-Fault Statute.”
Leo Shalit holds a Black Belt in Judo [1st Degree] and has over 10 years of Boxing / Thai-Boxing experience. He has competed in various Judo and Thai Kickboxing tournaments throughout the years. He was previously Nassau County Judo Champion in the Absolute Weight Division and went on to win a win Bronze Medal at the Empire State Games.
